Somerset Council Review Overnight Car Park Charges
A proposal to introduce overnight car parking charges across Somerset including Doverhay and Central Car Parks is being considered by Somerset Council’s Corporate and Resources Scrutiny Committee on Monday 24th February (Read the full agenda and papers here).
There are currently different rates and charging principles applied across the county’s 200 or so council-run car parks, and the system has not been reviewed since Somerset Council came into being in 2023.
Somerset Council members will be discussing a range of potential changes to parking charges in Somerset in a bid to bring consistency across the county (Read the full press release here).
Porlock’s car parks are in the list where it is proposed to charge for overnight parking.
